Personal Security Overview Workshop

This workshop is conducted in your conference room/center by 2 or 3 (depending upon your needs) of our security training

 

In this class we take the physical and decision-making skills introduced in the basic PPS course to the next level. The controlled scenarios you learned in the first level course are reviewed and then expanded on to simulate actual crises.

Drills will instill confidence continue to build the muscle-memory that leads to successful response. The class will include an optional weapons familiarization.

Practical Personal Security (PPS)

By running carefully controlled scenarios, this unique two-day course will drill participants in actions proven to keep personnel alive.

Through active adult-learning approaches (not Power Point) participants will build the skills required to recognize threats, and mitigate overseas security and safety risks.

Course Objectives
Participants will:

  • Anticipate and identify multiple risks
  • Use self-awareness strategies as a first line of defense
  • Develop confidence and skills using simple self-defense techniques
  • Understand the anatomy of a kidnapping; from prevention to release, rescue or escape

Agenda

Day 1

  • Risk assessment
  • Becoming a harder target
  • cross cultural issues
  • crisis management
  • Hand-to-hand defensive skills.

Day 2

  • Self-defense skills
  • Hand-to- hand defense skills.
    Defense against knives and firearms.
  • Firearms sensitization & introduction to common weapons: 
  • how to operate and make safe weapons you may encounter
  • How to select and employ items as “personal force multipliers“.
  • Detecting surveillance and using counter measures.

Advanced Practical Personal Security (PPS2)

In this class we take the physical and decision-making skills introduced in the basic PPS course to the next level. The controlled scenarios you learned in the first level course are reviewed and then expanded on to simulate actual crises.

Field First-Aid
